My Darling Boy

You are driving me insane.

You're breaking rules and laws and I don't know what to do to how to handle it.

I want to curl up and go to sleep... or ignore everything that's going on and pretend it never happened.

Letting you carry on and do what you like regardless would be so much easier than trying to fix it or change your behaviour.

I can't do this alone my darling Damien, you need to pull finger too.

Oh Angel, my heart is so breaking for you. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be not being able to just shake him out of it. To just make him do what you KNOW is right!

My thoughts are with you.

Your boy is an example of 80% of our students - it is so, so hard to stand back while our young ones make poor choices. But that is, indeed, the most profound way of learning.

Your keeping your eyes, ears, heart & arms open for him (and occasionally your mouth :)) is a great gift. I'll pray that he appreciates it sooner than later...

Not sure what your darling boy is up to, but I've had days like this. Plenty. Its scary worrying about the what-will-this-look-like-in-X-Years scenerio. I take comfort in talking to some parents of grownups who tell me the dire predictions made did not come true. I'll hope same for us : )
